THE BEST OF THE BEATLES BOOK (2005)

Rather than a straightforward chronological journey, the book is set out in chapters, each dealing with a particular time or subject; recording, touring, film, Apple, memorabilia, the Beatles’ Liverpool and more. It covers not just the 1960s but includes Beatles and solo news up to date. Contains many of the photos published in the Monthlies, and some previously unseen.

Interestingly, scans of the books themselves are actually of reprints, not original books! Although out of print, worth tracking down; it’s an essential read and a worthy addition to your bookshelf. [Beat Publications, 2005]
