Mal Evans has news of the new double album and gives a breakdown of each track recorded. Frederick James looks at earlier finished recordings that had not yet seen the light of day, such as How Do You Do It and Across the Universe, as well as live recordings fro the Hollywood Bowl and Candlestick Park.
Centre: Ringo in full colour!
Meanwhile…
In November, George’s album Wonderwall Music is released and this month he starts recordings for Electronic Sound, his next LP. John pleads guilty to drug possession charges and receives a fine. The second Apple LP Two Virgins is released. EMI had refused to distribute it because they objected to the nudity on the cover but Track Records eventually step in. The Beatles (the “White Album”) is released in the U.K.
Reprints
This issue and reprint are easy to separate. The placing of the black lettering with date and issue number are the giveaway. On a reprint they have moved to the right and seem to droop downwards.
