Tony Bramwell writes about his and Paul’s recent visit to Hollywood, and to Capitol Records who would be distributors for Apple in the States. Mal writes about Ringo and George in California the previous June, and in “Behind the Spotlight” we are in August 1966, the third tour of America and John’s “more popular than Jesus” comments.

In August they are still in the studio for much of the month. On the 22nd Ringo announces to the others he’s leaving the Beatles, and goes on holiday. Hey Jude is released.
