BEATLES MONTHLY ISSUE 57

The first feature this month is “Ringo: What will he do next?”, which looks at his film work, in the Beatles’ own films and the recent “Candy”, plus TV work with Cilla Black. There’s a piece by Mal and Neil, about recording Lady Madonna, The Inner Light and Across the Universe. There is a feature on the different aspects of Apple’s business.

In April, there is disenchantment in the Maharishi, as John and George leave. John begins to write Sexy Sadie, inspired by the Maharishi’s behaviour. He returns to England, George stays on in India. At home, Apple is advertising for new musicians for the label.
