Meanwhile

In August Richard Avedon photographs the Beatles. The resulting images were treated with psychedelic colours and were published in Look magazine in America the following January, before being offered in the U.K. via the Daily Express and Beatles Monthly (see issue 56), amongst other outlets. They meet the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and publicly renounce the use of drugs. Brian Epstein is found dead at his London home on 27th August and his funeral is two days later in Liverpool. The Beatles are not in attendance.
