“Neil’s Column” reports on the new Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields single, detailing the instruments used, who sings which parts, etc. The magazine visits Ringo at home. In “Behind the Spotlight”, we are transported back to March 1965, the Beatles are in the Bahamas and Austria. More press conference reports in “Beatles Talk”.

In March 1967 they spend a lot of studio time at Abbey Road, recording and mixing tracks for Sgt Pepper. John accidentally takes LSD during a recording session.

Not easy to tell from the covers, but look at the Beatles’ heads on page 24. They should be in a slight arc, but in the reprint they are in a straight line at the top of the page.
