Revolver and the new single Eleanor Rigby / Yellow Submarine are released. Ahead of the American tour, Epstein organises a press conference in New York to diffuse the “Bigger than Jesus” media fury. The tour goes ahead, despite a few local protests, ending at Candlestick Park, San Francisco, which will be their final scheduled live performance together.
