In July they continue their live dates in Japan, then to the Rizal stadium, Manila, Philippines for two performances. A ‘diplomatic incident’ is created when they fail to attend a reception at the invitation of President Marcos’ wife. They leave Manila in a hurry, under a cloud. The Nowhere Man EP is released. Teen Datebook magazine in America re-prints the “Bigger than Jesus” interview John gave to the London Evening Standard in March.
