Project Description

BEATLES MONTHLY ISSUE 18

January 1965 sees a slight re-design of the front cover top (“banner”). Inside, a focus on The Faces of Paul. Plus, a clairvoyant reads George’s palm, from which we learn that he will live to “a ripe old age”, whatever that means. There’s a feature on Mal Evans and “Behind The Spotlight” continues.

Centre: George

Meanwhile

In January they resume the Hammersmith Christmas shows on on New Year’s Day and finish on 16th January with two performances. They have few engagements for the remainder of the month, the most notable being Ringo’s to Maureen Cox. See what I did there? I don’t just throw this stuff together, you know.

Reprints

An easy one to spot. In January 1965 the cover was redesigned, re-styling and rearranging the text. Reprints of issue 18 retain the old style and “No. 18” is in a smaller font.
