In this issue, Billy Shepherd writes a feature on “Beatles on Holiday”, with Paul and Ringo in the Virgin Islands and John and George in Tahiti, in May. A short feature – by a mystery writer – “Following the Beatles” covers their travels round the world the previous month.
In July they return to the U.K. from Australia. The world premiere of A Hard Day’s Night takes place at the London Pavilion on 6th, and on the 10th, the first Northern screening at the Odeon in Liverpool. Live performances are few this month, but they fly to Stockholm for 4 performances over 2 days at the end of the month.
Some copies, like Issue 10, have the wrong front cover banner, with “The” in the wrong place. Other than that, separating original from reprint is difficult. Check paper quality, loose staples and the smell of new ink.
