WELCOME TO MY BEATLES BOOKS
This little magazine, “The Beatles Monthly” ran from August 1963 until December 1969, printed in the U.K. and distributed to fans across the globe. There were just 77 monthly issues, so a few years back my plan to collect the set seemed a pretty straightforward task. It wouldn’t take me long. Then I learned there was a “Special Repeat” issue and then two “Christmas Specials”. Okay, so 80 books then. And then I noticed that a few issues had little variations, so I would need those as well, just to tidy things up. Oh, and there had been leaflets inside some. And there were special “Beatles Book” binders to store them in. They even issued a calendar one year. And some curious books from overseas…and printers’ plates, photographs, artwork…
Anyway, here it all is. At least, all I have found so far. I know there will be more. If you collect something – anything – then you don’t need me to tell you that a collection never really ends; there is always something new, that little extra piece to be discovered and then hunted down. A collection is never “finished”. If you collect the Beatles Monthly, happy hunting, I hope you find these pages useful.
